The community around the Don Bosco Oratory in Victoria celebrated the feast of its Patron Saint, Don Bosco, on Sunday 3rd February 2019.
Chorus Urbanus was invited to animate the Pontifical Mass led by HL Bishop Mario Grech accompanied by a number of priests with connections to Don Bosco Oratory. The Choir performed John Galea’s “Missa in Fractione Panis” together with a number of religious motets and hymns dedicated to the Patron Saint of youths. After Mass, the traditional blessing of animals was held in St. Augustine’s Square outside the building of the Oratory.
In the afternoon, a solemn procession with the statue of Don Bosco was held along the main streets of Victoria. The procession was accompanied by the La Stella Band, playing religious and other anthems.
