The opening event of Gozo Alive – Feel the Magic –  organized by Chorus Urbanus Productions at the Villa Rundle, kicked off a special weekend of celebration in Gozo. The event featured Chorus Urbanus soloists, Chorus Urbanus, Urbanus Juniors and the University Vocal Ensemble under the direction of Dr John Galea, in an evening of magical reminiscences from famous animation classics.

“Feel the Magic!” at Villa Rundle

The concert featured music with backing tracks that was very well received in the magical atmosphere of the Villa Rundle Gardens that were transformed into a fantasy garden. Maria Farrugia and Joseph Cauchi spearheaded the Gozo Alive set-up team, which was instrumental in creating this unique atmosphere that brought everyone happy memories of childhood.

The event was patronized by the Hon Dr Minister Justyne Caruana, Minister for Gozo and the performance was given a standing ovation at the end with an encore of the final track from ‘Prince of Egypt’ – When You Believe.
