Chorus Urbanus’ fourteenth choral tour to the Holy Land took place during September 2019. This was a choral tour with a marked and significant difference since it also embraced the compelling charm of a pilgrimage to the most holy places in Biblical Israel, not to mention the thrill of singing in these most sacred places that included Nazareth, Capernaum, Cana, Betlehem and the Holy City of Jerusalem.
The members also visited Lake Galilee, Mount Tabor, the Dead Sea, Ein Karem and the Jordan River. Of particular great emotion was also the visit to Lod where the tomb of Saint George is venerated. Monsignor Laurence Sciberras, an eminent biblical scholar accompanied the group as spiritual director.
