Our next concert in the Feel the Magic series will present Violist Stephanie Pavia Watt accompanied by Dr Milica Lawrence on the piano. The concert will be held at the Exhibition Hall, Ministry for Gozo on Sunday 5 June, 2022 at 20.00 hrs.
The programme will feature Ernst Bloch’s Suite Hebraique, Ricordanza dell’Umbria (Assisi) by David Francis Urrows and Sonata in Fminor Op120 No 1 by Johannes Brahms.
Patrons are asked to be seated by 19.50.
Violist Stephanie Pavia Watt is the Winner of the 2016 Colin Blythe Fund, a TCL Scholar (2016-2018) and a Leverhulme Arts Scholarship and has pursued her Postgraduate Artist Diploma at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance under the guidance of Dr Rivka Golani. In 2016, Stephanie obtained her Masters Degree in Viola Performance at Trinity Laban.
She attended and performed in various masterclasses at the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest and at Trinity Laban, performed in Corsica, in UK and in 2014 at the Liszt Ferenc Memorial Museum, part of the Old Liszt Academy in Budapest. In 2015 she performed at the International Bartók Seminar in Szombathely, Hungary.
Apart from her musical career, in 2008 Stephanie graduated with a B.Ed. (Hons.) in Biology from the University of Malta (2004-2008).
Stephanie Pavia Watt has been working as a String Assistant with the Junior Trinity Department since 2012.
Dr Milica Lawrence completed her piano and harpsichord studies at the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade, Serbia. Here, Milica specialized in chamber music and received her Doctor of Musical Arts Degree (DMA) degree at the same Faculty. She attended piano and harpsichord masterclasses with many distinguished Serbian and international artists such as Sergei Dorensky, Giorgi Chugaev, and Pavel Nersessian amongst others.
Dr Milica Lawrence has won numerous prizes for solo and ensemble performances at domestic and international competitions. She has also held a great number of solo recitals and chamber music concerts both in various countries around the world.
