Brilliant and excitingly virtuosic ‘Drepanon Brass’

During the evening the Drepanon Brass ensemble under the outstanding musical direction of Prof. Marco Primo Sala, premiered a new work by Sicilian composer Andrea Ferrante entitled “Malta Musical Tribute” amongst other virtuoso masterpieces by Nunzio Ortolano, Ennio Morricone, Nino Rota, Dimitri Shostakovich, Michael Praetorious, Georg Friedrich Händel, Oliver Mann and Giuseppe Verdi. The highly appreciative audience regaled a standing ovation which was reciprocated by two encores by Drepanon Brass from the Conservatorio Statale di Musica A. Scontrino di Trapani.
