Feel the Magic of Opera Favourites promises to be a fabulous night at Teatru Astra. It will reward patrons with a performance that will surely make sparks fly, presenting some terrific singing in a concert featuring two internationally acclaimed artists, Soprano Claudia Sasso (IT), and tenor Leonardo Capalbo (USA). Both singers are house-hold names at the most important opera houses around the world.
Leonardo Capalbo has been described by ‘Opera News as ‘a radiant tenor with a clarion top’ earning international acclaim for his rich voice and exceptional acting abilities. Claudia Sasso is certainly remembered for the vocal pyrotechnics that she delivered with great panache two years ago during the concluding concert of the Vocal Masterclasses at Teatru Astra. The concert will also feature Chorus Urbanus and the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra under the musical direction of John Galea.
