(more…)Gozo’s Chorus Urbanus launched the Urbanus Concert Series on Saturday, the 20th of October 2012 with the presentation of a concert by Professor Gottfried Schneider, who performed the Solo Sonatas I and III and Partita II by J.S. Bach.Gottfried Schneider performed the solo concert with a 1729 Stradivari violin.

(more…)As a fitting conclusion to a week of celebrations to honour the 125th anniversary of the town of Victoria, the Chorus Urbanus was invited to perform together with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra during a concert to mark the day when this concession by Queen Victoria was made public, way back in 1887, the year of Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee.
(more…)Chorus Urbanus embarked on a choral engagement in Sicily during early December as the guests of Corale Polifonica Jonia, who are celebrating their 50th anniversary. The choir visited Giarre, Acireale, Taormina, Catania and Siracusa.
(more…)The beautiful region of Alsace in eastern France was the venue of the Chorus Urbanus’ 8th choral tour which spanned between 7th and 12 December 2006. The Choir was invited to participate in Les Noeilles, a major choral event in which a choir from each EU country performed two concerts in two different localities in Alsace.
(more…)The Italian version of the Oratorio Il Cuore di Cristo was premiered by the Chorus Urbanus accompanied by the National Orchestra of Malta at the Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary on Saturday 14th October 2006. This concert was part of the celebrations marking the unveiling of the monument dedicated to the late Pope John Paul II. The venue of the concert was changed to Ta’ Pinu due to bad weather.
