Chorus Urbanus Productions have launched the official poster for the upcoming edition of the Choir’s Christmas Concert.
Chorus Urbanus has once again been invited by the Franciscan Conventual Friars in Victoria, Gozo to participate in the liturgical celebrations marking the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.
Two sell-out performances of Leslie Bricusse’s musical “Scrooge!” on 3rd and 4th November 2018 at the Oratory Don Bosco unofficially opened this year’s Christmas season with a bang! After the success of last year’s “Fiddler on the Roof” much was being expected from this year’s production and the audiences were not disappointed indeed.

Christmas is coming early this year in Gozo. The evergreen english musical production of SCROOGE! by Leslie Bricusse will be staged live at the Don Bosco Oratory Theatre. The performances are being held on Saturday 3rd November at 7.30pm, Sunday 4th November at 2.30pm, Sunday 11th November at 5.30pm and Saturday 17th November at 7.30pm.

(more…)Apart from setting new milestones for the choir where musical prestige is concerned, the recent choral tour in the Palermo region saw the choir embark on a laudable eco-friendly initiative. For the concert of sacred music held in the Cathedral of Palermo, the choristers started using tablets instead of printed scores.
(more…)Chorus Urbanus have just returned from a highly successful choral tour in the Palermo region during which the choir performed in two key events that marked new milestones in the choir’s rich history. This choral tour is especially significant for the fact that it took place during 2018, the year that marks Valletta (Malta) as the European Capital of Culture and Palermo as the Italian Capital of Culture. This XIII Choral Tour spanned over six days – 22 to 27 August, 2018.
