Join us on March 23, 2024, at 8:00 PM for an enchanting evening of sacred music performed by our choral force. The concert is being organised by the Mosta Basilica Foundation to celebrate the centenary of the monumental gilded casket housing the dead Christ, more traditionally known as ‘il-Monument’. Held within the magnificent Mosta Basilica, this concert promises to transport the audience to a realm of divine harmony and spiritual elevation. The concert will feature music by Ingengneri, John Galea, Stainer, Antonelli, Bruckner, Palestrina, Ghedini and Dubois and an illustrated talk.

Immerse yourself in the timeless beauty of Gregorian chants, echoing through the magnificent Rotunda. Experience the intricate polyphony of Palestrina, the faux-bourdon by Antonelli and the soul-stirring melodies of Bruckner, Dubois, Stainer and Ghedini. This concert plank will provide the audience with the opportunity to revel in exclusive compositions by our very own Dr John Galea, specifically crafted for Chorus Urbanus.

Don’t miss this extraordinary musical journey on Saturday 23 March at 20.00 hrs!
